Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It’s almost 2021 and 2020 has been challenging, to say the least. So let’s start the new year with a fresh perspective and look at what’s possible, rather than what isn’t.
Think of it as having the key to a door with lots of exciting possibilities on the other side – all you have to do is open it.
Property is a great way to generate income – and, if you know what you’re doing and have the right tools, the profit you generate is not tied to the amount of time you invest. It’s all about applying your knowledge.
Knowledge is not just knowing how to make a property profitable, it’s knowing how to find the best deals, where to invest for the highest yield and what to check before you make your decision.
If you’re in the property business that applies tenfold – because you have to be able to help every one of your clients to get first class results. This is true whether you’re sourcing properties on their behalf, an agent who helps buyers and sellers get the best deals or an educator who wants to give your students tools that will make a significant difference.
What 2020 has taught us
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned in 2020 is how to be flexible, innovative and find different ways to get the results we want. The people who have succeeded are those who have been ready to look at alternatives – those who have struggled are those who have given up in the face of what appear to be insurmountable odds.
At the beginning of the pandemic when we were all locked down – many property people thought that nothing would happen until lockdown ended. To some extent they were right and the property world jumped back into action in June. However, despite subsequent lockdown periods, property is still a good place to be.
The secret is having the right knowledge and tools to make it work – even if you can’t get in your car and go and view that next property in person.
You can see the outside on Google maps. You can find out all you need to know about it’s potential profitability with Property Deals Insight tools – and, if you’re lucky, you may even be able to do a virtual walkaround, as many estate agents offer this facility.
New perspectives
Given that the future of when travelling is permitted again, success in 2021 is likely to depend on how quickly you find and adapt to new ways of doing business.
If you can see the property world from a new angle – and still see your way to success – you’ll get the edge on those who are waiting for things to change.
As Mahatma Gandhi said:
“As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him … We need not wait to see what others do.”
(Often misquoted as ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’)
